Fire & Safety Management

Diploma in Fire and Safety Management is a full-time diploma program, the duration of which can range from 1 to 2 years, depending on the rules formulated by colleges. The eligibility of the course is passing of 10+2 examination or qualifying 12th-grade examination in any relevant stream of Science/Arts/Commerce with a minimum aggregate listed under a recognized board.

About Fire Safety

with ever – increasing fire hazards in modern times, the need for specially has become indispensable. Fire hazard in today”s word mean unforeseen destruction with increasing urbanization and mounting industrial activity resulting in greater use of electrical devices, appliances in all type of houses and offices, office automation, heating and cooling systems.

Terrorist activities like bombing and irresponsible deployment of inflammable substances only add to modern civilization”s vulnerability to the hazards of fire very much in evidence in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks. In India, fire is a states and union territories administer fire services. Each state government maintains a fire department to look after the preventive and precautionary aspects of fire safety. The ministry of home affairs renders technical advice to states/ union territories and the central ministers on fire protection, fire prevention, fire legislation as per statistics available, more than 2000 fire stations manned by at least 79000 professionals are operating in the country with a fleet of around 7500 appliances/vehicles.
